OUR PROCESSES

"One thing we take very seriously here at Schreurs & Sons is providing the highest quality produce using the safest methods possible."

Chris Schreurs, Director - Schreurs & Sons

Sustainability

IPM

At Schreurs & Sons we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint and adopting sustainable practices, such as Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

We use IPM to assist in controlling pests on our crops. This form of pest management promotes the use of good bugs (or beneficial insects) to control nasty bugs (or pests). This minimises our need to use chemicals on our crops, which is better for our customers and the environment.

Schreurs & Sons was the first grower in Australia to actively use IPM for celery, demonstrating enormous environmental and health benefits since 2003.

Enviroveg

Schreurs & Sons isĀ  part of the Enviroveg program, which sets the Australian vegetable industry's environmental guidelines and standards. Our advanced practices have resulted in us being accredited with Gold level membership.
